Summer, rich in moments of relaxation, is presented here with simplicity and gentleness. The pretext: a little girl, on vacation at her uncle's, wanders around the house and meets various protagonists who, one after the other, borrow a few minutes from their routine to relax and observe what the summer sky has to offer. The minimalist poetry of the text is such that it suggests a different view of the characters' actions; standing guard can be done in many ways, while preparing a meal and reading the newspaper have a whole new definition here. This album is an ode to summer, of course, but above all it is an invitation to relax, to take time to live and to take it slowly. An invitation to open our eyes, no matter where we are, to observe what is around us.This album was shortlisted for the Tatoulu 2021 Prize, Pink Tatoulu category and for The White Ravens Prize of the International Youth Library Munich 2017, and won the Golden Island Prize 2019, the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Awards, Illustrated Book category 2017 and the Ibby Poland Prize 2017.
