Sleeping Beauty is a folk tale, one of the most famous versions of which is that of the Grimm brothers, published in 1812.

Sleeping Beauty: a summary of the story

The king and queen are mourning the fact that they have no children. One day, a frog appears and announces: "Your wish will be granted, within a year you will give birth to a girl". The frog's prediction came true and the queen gave birth to the child she had wanted so much. The king organises a big party to celebrate the event and invites all the fairies of the country. But a nasty fairy who had been forgotten arrives and puts a spell on the little princess: "When you are fifteen, you will be pricked with a spindle and you will fall dead". Another fairy tries to ward him off: "You will not die, you will sleep for a hundred years"...

Little Goldilocks is walking in the forest when she sees a house and, full of curiosity, decides to enter it... But who does it belong to? Goldilocks then goes to taste the three soups on the table because one is too hot, the other is too cold, and the last one is just right!

Abandoned by their parents, Margaux and Jeannot are lost in the forest. In this Grimm's tale, a mysterious white bird guides them to a wonderful house made of bread, cakes and sugar. But this house belongs to a wicked witch who has a habit of eating children...

The king has sent his inspector to Hameln to investigate the disappearance of all the children in this Lower Saxon town. The royal inspector questions the innkeeper and the latter recounts the invasion of the rats, the arrival of the foreigner, the deal made with the town and how the inhabitants welcomed him and rewarded him handsomely. The two of them discuss and the images scroll by, showing a very different reality: the greed and contempt of an entire town for this flute player who finally punished them. This kamishibai can be read by two people: the king's inspector and the innkeeper. The text is composed in the form of a dialogue.

Four farm animals find themselves bound by an unfortunate fate: their owners want to get rid of them! The four friends leave their respective homes and set off for Bremen where they want to become musicians. The journey is not without danger. In a house in the middle of the forest live some robbers. Thanks to their team spirit, the four friends chase the thieves away. From now on, they will live free and happy in their new home.

A young girl was the Cinderella of her stepmother and daughter and was forced to do all the chores. One day, while spinning wool near a well, she dropped her bobbin into it. She had to dive for it, but fainted from the shock. What she doesn't know is that this well gives access to another world, that of Mother Holle. And when Mother Holle shakes her quilts, it starts to snow on earth...

A classic Brothers Grimm story where the wolf who thinks he is the strongest and cleverest, is once again tricked. While their mother is away in the forest, the seven kids face the wolf's mischief as he tries to get into the house to devour them all.

Unlike Hansel and Gretel, this tale by the Brothers Grimm is little known. A king who feels his end is near does not know which of his three sons should succeed him. They will undergo tests by following the three feathers he blows from the square of his castle.

Hansel and Gretel, abandoned in the forest, have to find their way back to the house on their own. But, beware of the temptations on the way back...
