Jack and the Beanstalk: summary of a classic tale

Jack and his mother are poor. The day Jack trades their goat for six bean seeds, his mother gets angry. But the seeds are actually magic! In one night they grow into a huge ladder of greenery, like a giant bean. Jack climbs to the top of the ladder and, beyond the clouds, enters the ominous home of an ogre and an ogress...
