Talking about death with children is always sensitive! We don't always find the right words to express ourselves and comfort them... Yet, death is a part of life. All living beings live and die... That's how the cycle of life is perpetuated for generations. How are old people cared for at the end of their lives? What's going on when we lose our parents? Is there only way to react to a loved one's death? Each person lives their grief differently: some like to be alone, others need to be reassured by a group to share their sadness or think about good memories. Everything also depends on one's culture and beliefs... One thing is certain: death scares us much less when we talk about it!
Without taking a precise example, Rhéa Dufresne approaches the subject with softness and delicacy. She brings a tender and universal point of view, that'll allow each reader to identify themselves and find comfort.
