La visite de Saint-Nicolas et du Hans

La visite de Saint-Nicolas et du Hans

At nightfall, on the eve of December 6, the good St. Nicholas and his disturbing companion, Le Hans, make their rounds in a village in Alsace. Julien is eagerly awaiting them, but his sister Caroline would like them to forget about him. On St. Nicholas' Day, tradition dictates that children who have been good all year receive sweets and small gifts. But if they have not been good, they will suffer the wrath of the bogeyman called Hans Trapp in Alsace, whom all the children call "Le Hans".
