The young Parker, a Californian of Cherokee origin, dreams of becoming a singer. Maria Rosa, an elderly Brazilian woman of Palikur descent, was one of the first defenders of the rights of Amazonian peoples. Through the voices and journeys of our two heroes, we lead the reader to the Gathering of the Guardians of Mother Nature (the first major assembly took place in 2017, attended by Raoni in Brasília, bringing together nearly 80 peoples).
