The Fox and the Stork

French story for children, original title : Le Renard et la Cigogne

Le Renard et la Cigogne

The Fox and the Stork is a famous fable by Jean de La Fontaine. It is the story of a fox who sets a trap for a stork and she falls into it, but the fox is then tricked in turn! The explicit moral of this fable is: "Deceivers, it is for you that I write, expect the same."

If it is not as well known as The Ant and the Grasshoper, or The Crow and the Fox, it is still an emblematic fable of the collection.
