Main-oiseau

Main-oiseau

When you don't look exactly like everyone else, for example when you are born with three fingers on one hand, life can sometimes be fierce. But it can also be bright, joyful, if you try to reinvent it every day with imagination. The little different hand then becomes a bird hand, soars and carries away the sorrows on its wings. Hand-Bird is a profound children's book that speaks of disability in a new light. The author, Benoît Lemennais, tells the story of his daughter. His intimate, delicate prose is enhanced by the superb illustrations by Marianne Ferrer.
