A tyrannical king, father of three sons whose respective infirmities (deaf, blind, and mute) symbolize his faults towards his people, is driven from his throne. Only his second son, Oddvin, escapes the chaos. Blind and guided by his reindeer Pernelius, he embarks on a journey to the great north, where he encounters a series of animals. Humble, Oddvin knows how to receive their precious gifts. With an enlightened heart, his return to the lost kingdom becomes possible...
