Qui part à la chasse

At the centre of the world lived a very small king, he was called King Bruti. In his long line of kings, everyone had been given a special animal. Today, it was his turn to choose: - We are going on a bear hunt! - he said. He thought that the animal would correct his problem, which was a big one! This kamishibai by Marie Dorléans can be told from kindergarten onwards, and primary school children will be delighted to find the expressions they use, such as "when the cat is away, the mice dance", or "sell the bear's skin before killing it". Older children will enjoy telling the story by inventing funny voices.

"Qui part à la chasse" is available on Storyplay'r in an illustrated version, in an audio version narrated by french native storytellers. Thanks to our reading module, we can offer a reading aid for this story as well as for all the other ones, and tools for a dyslexic children adapted version.
