Célestine has seven hens who happily peck outdoors. Brigitte lays white eggs; Agathe, pink ones; Bernadette, speckled eggs; Capucine, tiny ones; Odette, huge eggs; Charlotte's eggs have two yolks. Salomé, still hasn't laid anything... One morning, little Arthur who's spending the Easter holidays at her aunt's finds a funny egg under Salomé's feathers. A brown egg! Célestine, the farmer, remains speechless: her hen lays chocolate eggs... and she lays dozens! The news quickly travels around the village, then the country, up to the broadcast news. The chocolate industry begins to worry seriously: Easter is approaching and this hen threatens the chocolate makers' business...
