For Charlie's birthday, a double-decker bus picks up all his friends in fancy dress for a festive ride through London. Everyone is there: Peter Pan, James Bond, Harry Potter and the Queen of England! The party starts on the open roof of the bus but the clouds are threatening. When they get off to take shelter, the children realise that Charlie's presents have disappeared...

Pour l’anniversaire de Charlie, un autobus à impériale va chercher tous ses copains déguisés pour une balade festive dans Londres. Tout le monde est là : Peter Pan, James Bond, Harry Potter et la reine d’Angleterre ! La fête commence sur le toit ouvert du bus mais les nuages menacent. Today is Saturday. It is 8 o'clock in the morning. Charlie is in bed. Dad: Wake up, Charlie! Mum: Good morning, Charlie! Jack and Kate: Happy birthday, Charlie! Charlie: Thank you... It's my birthday today! Yeah! This afternoon is Charlie's party. It's a fancy dress party. Charlie: Do you like my costume? Kate : Yes, it's fantastic! Jack : I'm Harry Potter! Who are you, Charlie? Charlie : I'm Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective!
Mum and Dad have got a surprise for Charlie: it's a party bus! Charlie: The party bus is great! Thank you! Mum :Let's have a picnic in the park! Dad : OK! Let's go! Bus driver : Happy birthday! I'm Barry. What's your name? Charlie : My name's Charlie. Bus driver : How old are you, Charlie? Charlie : I'm nine today. Bus driver : Aha! And I'm fifty-nine today! Charlie : Oh! Happy birthday, Barry!
First, the bus stops at James's house. James is Charlie's friend. James: Hi Charlie! I love the bus! Great costume, James! Who are you? My name's Bond... James Bond! Cool! Next, the bus stops at Abdul's house. Abdul is Charlie's friend. Mr Ibrahim: Good afternoon, Charlie. Happy birthday! Mrs Ibrahim :Enjoy your party, Charlie! Charlie :Who are you, Abdul? Napoleon? Abdul : No, I'm not! I'm Lord Nelson. Charlie :Oh, sorry Lord Nelson!
The bus stops at Pierre's house. Pierre is Charlie's French friend. Pierre: Happy birthday, Charlie! This is for you. Charlie : Thanks, Peter Pan! Please put the present and your birthday card on the table. Pierre : I haven't got a birthday card! Oh ! là là ! I am sorry! Stella is on the bus too. Stella is Charlie's friend. The bus is near the River Thames. Pierre: What's this, on the right ? Charlie : It's the London Eye. Pierre : What's that, on the left? Charlie : It's Big Ben!
