He thinks of bringing it to a river, but the rose dries out completely. The old man finds Moko crying, saddened by the loss of his beautiful flower. As the wind gusts around them, the old man tells him to look down at his precious rose. Moko is amazed to discover that his withered rose has become a sand rose. The sand rose
One morning, Moko went to see his friend, the wise old man who lived at the far end of the village.
He had a lovely garden filled with lovely flowers. Moko could've spent the whole day walking through it. "I would like to offer you one of my flowers?" The old man picked a magnificent rose and handed it to Moko. "You must take care of it, and water it each day, otherwise it'll wilt." Moko thanked his friend and headed back home, his heart filled with joy.
But on the way, the sun was so strong that the flower started to wilt. Moko started down towards the river. But the road there was so long and the sun so hot, that the rose couldn't bear up against it, and wilted completely
