The changing moon
One night, Moko had decided to observe the moon. It had risen on the horizon, and hung mid-sky like a balloon of light, slowly drifting behind the mountains in the distance. "How strange," thought Moko, "the moon is usually crescent-shaped." But on this night, the moon was so big, that Moko had the feeling it coul almost touch the Earth. Moko wanted to know more about the Moon. He started walking towards the mountains. "Maybe I can even reach up and touch it," he said to himself.
But the more he walked towards the horizon, the higher the moon seemed to rise in the sky. Moko stopped walking. He told himself that the moon was probably shy, and didn't want anyone getting too close to it. He decided to observe it secretly from behind a bush.
But, tired out from his walk, Moko fell asleep. And the moon continued making its way across the starry sky.
