Ca, c’est ma chambre. Je la connais par cœur. Enfin, je crois. This is my room. I know it by heart. At least I think I do.
La nuit, il s’y passe des choses bizarres. J’ai l’impression d’entendre des bruits. Funny things seem to happen at night. I think I can hear noises.
Et le matin quand je me lève, tout n’est plus tout à fait à la même place. And when I wake up in the morning, nothing is ever exactly in the same place.
Hier soir, la penderie était ouverte et Teddy traînait sur le tapis. Last night the wardrobe was open and Teddy was sitting on the rug. Aujourd’hui, la porte de la penderie est fermée et Teddy est posé sur mon coffre à jouets. Today the door of the wardrobe is closed and Teddy is placed on my toybox.
C’est sûr, quelqu’un d’autre que moi vit ici. Alors, ce soir, j’ai décidé de ne pas m’endormir. Je pars à l’aventure. I’m pretty sure that somebody else must be living here with me. So, this evening, I’ve decided not to go to sleep yet. I’m going to have an adventure.
J’ai caché la lampe torche de papa sous mon oreiller et j’attends qu’il me mette au lit en me disant « Bonne nuit » avec un gros bisou. I have hidden my Dad’s torch under my pillow and i am waiting until he puts me to bed and kisses me goodnight.
Je fais semblant de m’endormir. I pretend that I’m going to sleep. Dès qu’il n’y a plus de bruit dans la maison, je pars sur la pointe des pieds visiter ma chambre. Je veux découvrir qui change mes affaires de place. When everything is quiet in the house, I get out of bed and tiptoe around the room. I want to find out who is moving my things around.
